Parrot’s Disco drone is a fixed-wing aircraft
Throw it in the air and it does the rest.
Almost every drone offer on the market is a quad configuration with four-six rotors on a frame. however, Parrot has introduced its latest product, the Disco, a fixed-wing that is in the TBRC or classic FPV configuration. To Launch it, simply throw it in the air!
“Parrot Disco is the first wing-shaped drone you can pilot with no learning process. Its autopilot and its many sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, GPS) permanently control its flight”. The autopilot prevents adverse attitudes.
The Disco is 700 grams (1.5 pounds). It has a top speed of 80 kilometers per hour or 50 miles per hour and is faster than most quad or hex drones on the market. Fixed-wings have a longer battery life and can last up to 45 minutes on a single charge. Operates with Remote control or with a flight planning application.
This product sounds like it may be a lower cost alternative to the eBee.
